How Gridsense handles your information

Short version: we collect only what you type, and if you check the consent box we may introduce you to one solar company serving your area.

Who we are

Gridsense is operated by Rebel Video, a YouTube ad agency working with home-energy and home-services companies across the US. We publish plain-English explanations of how energy programs work and, when you ask us to, we review a homeowner's situation and connect them with a solar company serving their area.

We are not a solar installer, a lender, a law firm, or a tax advisor.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site. For the homeowner form that is your first name, ZIP code, phone number, email address, your approximate monthly electric bill, and whether you own your home. For the solar company form it is your name, company, phone, email, the states you operate in, and a spending range.

Our site also loads analytics and advertising tags from Meta and Google, which collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser, and the pages you view. You can control much of this through your browser settings and through each provider's own ad settings.

Why we collect it, and who we share it with

This is the part that matters, so it is stated plainly. If you submit the homeowner form and check the consent box, we may share the information you entered with one vetted solar company that serves your area, so that they can contact you about solar for your home. That company may compensate us for the introduction.

We do not sell your information to data brokers, list compilers, or open marketplaces, and we do not distribute a single submission to multiple companies to be worked simultaneously.

Solar company submissions are used only so that we can respond to you about working together.

Calls and text messages

By checking the consent box on the homeowner form you agree that Gridsense and the solar company we introduce you to may contact you at the phone number you provided, including by automated dialing systems, prerecorded messages, and SMS. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask to be removed entirely by emailing hello@gridsense.pro.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain ordinary business records, and no longer than reasonably necessary after that.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct it, and we will.
• Ask us to delete it, and we will, subject to records we are required to keep.
• Ask us not to share it with a solar company, and we will not — email us before or after you submit.

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California, have additional rights under those laws. Email us and we will honor them.

Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
